The Cowboys will try to heal and build for next year after seeing their season end Wednesday night in the Mountain West Conference tournament in Las Vegas.

Wyoming, which was just 3-13 in league play, finished the season at 10-21. The Cowboys lost leading scorer Afam Muojeke with a knee injury early in the conference season and never recovered.

Other starters, including sophomores Adam Waddell and JayDee Luster, missed time with injuries as well.

Wyoming loses just one player to graduation and had just one junior scholarship player on the roster this season.

The Air Force Falcons love play-in games. For the second straight season, they won in the opening round of the Mountain West Conference tournament, beating Wyoming 59-40 Wednesday. Last year they snapped a 17-game losing streak with a win over Colorado State in the tournament opener. This time they snapped a nine-game skid.
